We have just started helping with leading in the Nursery at our church.  We have served for several years in the Nursery and I have felt a calling for our family to get more involved. 

Michelle is putting together a list of books and videos that we are suggesting to be used.  One of these is The Praise Baby Collection: Born to Worship. She was showing it to me tonight and it is very well done.  Alyssa, our 5 year old, was asking if I thought it would be good for the Nursery.  She said, “I know that the babies can be sad when they get there since they are leaving their mommies.  This will help them love Jesus more than their mommies so that they won’t be so sad.” 

Wow, that is quite a profound statement!  I had to stop what I was doing and go share that with Michelle.  We were both blown away.  Of course that is the goal of Christian ministry is to proclaim the good news of Jesus so that those who are listening (in this case the children in the Nursery) will love Jesus more than the things of this world.  Thank you Alyssa for helping us keep the correct focus!
